Join Hannah Melde-Webster (Golden Heron) and Jen Britton (Bloomtown Flower Co) at Jen’s urban flower farm for a day of communing with Fall’s bounty of blooms. We will start the day with refreshments and a tour of the farm followed by instruction from Hannah in creating lush yet wild arrangements suitable for any holiday table setting. After that students will get to select their own freshly cut flowers and design a piece of their very own to take home.

Hannah has been arranging flowers for a living for almost ten years and farming them for three. Her approach is that of spiritual practice more so than a streamlined process to an end result, listening to the land and plants and working with them for a mutually beneficial outcome.

Jen is a wealth of knowledge when it comes to cut flowers and has created a space that consistently produces gorgeous blooms. Her farm is without a doubt an impressive example of what can be done within the urban space and a source of inspiration to anyone dreaming of their own backyard flower farm.
